With a strong and consistent performance throughout the Powerstage, Simone Campedelli emerged as the first overall leader of the Star Awards. His pace in the challenging Rosário stage piloting the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 set the tone for what promises to be an exciting Promo Year.
Guilherme Meireles dominates 2WD
In the two wheel drive category, Guilherme Meireles and Pedro Alves delivered an impressive run on Rosário, collecting the maximum recognition in the Star Awards and taking the lead in their class aboard the Peugeot 208 Rally4.
What is the European Rally Series?
The European Rally Series is a project launched in 2025 to revitalize historic rallies across Europe. During its Promo Year, the events keep their traditional format while the promoter works closely with local organizers to evaluate and test promotional improvements. The goal is that, from 2026 onwards, these rallies will evolve within a unified calendar, maintaining their identity while aligning with the European Rally Series vision.
As part of this concept, the promoter selects two stages from each rally of this Promo Year calendar with the greatest promotional potential. On these stages, the Star Awards take place — a unique scoring system that rewards performance and spectacle, creating an additional layer of excitement for fans, teams, and media.
The journey has just begun
The Rali da Madeira marked the beginning of this exciting new chapter for European rallying. Next, the European Rally Series will move to other iconic events across the continent, further shaping the future of the sport while celebrating its rich heritage.
The next confirmed stop is another legendary event: Rallye Sanremo. In addition, two more Promo Events for 2025 will be announced soon, reinforcing the European Rally Series’ mission to build the future of rallying.
